Ontraport email verification options using mailfloss

If you’re using mailfloss for Ontraport email verification, you have four options at your disposal.

Before explaining the four options, make sure you have properly connected Ontraport to mailfloss. You only need to do this once and from then on mailfloss will be able to automatically perform email verifications for the connected Ontraport account.

Here’s a screenshot of the four options you have with Ontraport email validation:

The first option “Manually decide action on bad emails” will display emails deemed invalid so you can decide an action on them, like so:

With manual mode set, you can later decide to delete, unsubscribe, ignore, or report the status as incorrect for all contacts mailfloss determined as invalid.

The second option “Unsubscribe bad emails” will unsubscribe the contact from Ontraport. This action is irreversible.

The third option “Delete bad emails” is also irreversible. Once deleted, the contact is gone for good and you won’t find it inside of Ontraport anymore.

The final option is “do nothing”. Basically, all this option does is send you an email report of the latest floss session, but doesn’t actually change anything inside of Ontraport or mailfloss. This is most like boring, traditional email validation services, but is useful if you just want a report of the email verification statuses determined by mailfloss for the connected Ontraport account and nothing more.

How To Connect Sendlane With mailfloss

Cleaning your Sendlane email lists is easy with mailfloss. Once Sendlane is connected, you can let mailfloss automatically run email verification for Sendlane going forward. Here’s how to do that.

Step 1. Visit the integrations page

Visit the integrations page by clicking on “Integrations” in the left sidebar.

 

Step 1 - click Integrations

 

 

Step 2. Click the Add Integration button and a popup will appear

 

Step 2 - click Add Integration

 

 

Step 3. Click the Sendlane image

You will need to login to Sendlane for the next step.

 

Step 3 - click Sendlane

 

 

Step 4. In Sendlane, hover over the rightmost dropdown in the navigation bar and select Account Settings from the dropdown

 

Step 4 - click Account Settings

 

 

Step 5. Under the Settings tab copy the API key, Hash key, and Domain

 

Step 5 - Your Security Credentials

 

 

Step 6. Back in mailfloss, paste the API Key, Hash Key, and Subdomain from the previous step into the input boxes and click the Connect button
